Honor Society Installed at UT Tyler, Initiates Members

Epsilon Pi Tau, an international honor society for professions in technology, installed a charter chapter, Delta Gamma, and initiated its first members at UT Tyler.
Twenty-three students and four faculty were initiated during an April 15 ceremony at UT Tyler.
The new members are undergraduate or graduate students working toward a technology or human resource development degree.
“Becoming a member of an honor society like Epsilon Pi Tau enhances students' career prospects and offers them an opportunity for lifelong academic recognition,” said Dr. James Harbaugh, UT Tyler associate professor of technology and Delta Gamma trustee.
Membership is by invitation only. Undergraduate students must have a 3.5 GPA and completed 16 upper-level hours. Graduate students must have a 3.75 GPA and completed nine graduate hours. Doctoral students must have a 3.75 GPA and completed 18 graduate hours. Professionals who support technology may also be initiated.
New student members include:
Jan H. Adams, Vern H. Coonfare III, Marla Ann Farnsley, Rachael D. Griffith, Artura G. Guzman, Stacie L. Holland, Roni M. Jenkins, Paul W. Johnson, Janet E. Lofland, Janis L. Massey, Roger O. Millender, Larry J. Miller, Rhamy L. Morrison, Syed A. Muhammad, Theo D. Rasco, Jimmy G. Reed, Jennifer D. Rummel, Tina L. Rummel, Suzanne B. Sable, William E. Spencer, Barron W. Stansell, Wesley P. Tyler and Jerry W. Wise.
New faculty members include:
Dr. Rita L. Dobbs, assistant professor of technology; Dr. John E. Miller, director of UT Tyler Longview University Center; Dr. Joseph T. Nalbone, adjunct faculty for technology and Dr. Fred R. Withers, adjunct faculty for technology.
The Alpha Nu chapter of EPT from Texas A&M – Kingsville conducted the initiation ritual.
