Scholarship Monies Awarded to Math/Science Education Students

Nine UT Tyler students were awarded teaching scholarships by Dr. Ann Guilbert, interim director of the Teaching Excellence in Mathematics and Science (TEMS) program.

The scholarship provides $1,000 towards a completion of a bachelor’s degree and an engagement in a 40-hour internship with Camp Tyler and the Discovery Science Place.

Recipients included Andrew Ambort, Robin Best, Derrick Daniels, Jennifer Dover, Sarah Friday, Stephanie Hood, Jamie Mitchell, Juan Ortiz and Larry Robson.
