Dr. Daniel J. Pesut, president of Sigma Theta Tau International, will preside over the induction of nursing students into the UT Tyler Iota Nu chapter and serve as keynote speaker of a workshop for nursing professionals and students Oct. 13 - 14.

UT Tyler Students Win Awards at LSAMP Conference
Two students from UT Tyler won awards at The University of Texas System Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Undergraduate Student Research conference in Richardson, Texas Sept. 21 – 23.
A total of 34 undergraduate students representing the UT System campuses presented their research in either oral or poster session competitions.

Rattan to Speak at UT Tyler Poetry Awards Ceremony
Dr. Cleatus Rattan, the 2004-05 Texas Poet Laureate, will be the keynote speaker at the UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library Poetry Awards Ceremony, 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Braithwaite Recital Hall.
Dr. Rattan will discuss his views on poetry and read several selections. The winning poems from the UT Tyler student poetry contest will be read by their respective poets and awards will be given. More...
