UT Tyler Names Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Nursing Professorship

Dr. Lynn Wieck

Dr. Lynn Wieck has been selected as the recipient of the Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Professorship for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Dr. Linda Klotz, dean, announced.

The $100,000 professorship was developed to benefit faculty responsibilities in teaching, service and research.

Wieck previously served as chief executive officer for Management Solutions for Healthcare and has taught at Texas Woman’s University and the University of the Incarnate Word. More...

UT Tyler Electrical Engineering Receives over $200,000 in Grants

The Department of Electrical Engineering at UT Tyler has been awarded two grants totaling $220,599 by the Texas Workforce Development, Dr. Troy Henson, dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, announced.

Dr. Mukul Shirvaikar, associate professor of electrical engineering, will serve as the principal investigator on a grant in the amount of $125,000. More...

UT Tyler Homecoming Activities

Mike ChesnuttUT Tyler Homecoming is set for the weekend of Oct. 28 – 29. A benefit concert, chili cook-off, jazz concert and soccer and volleyball games are included in the festivities.

A concert featuring Mark Chesnutt will be held Friday, Oct. 28 in the UT Tyler Cowan Center. All proceeds will benefit the Katrina Relief through the American Red Cross and the Regional East Texas Food Bank. Sponsors include BSCENE magazine and ERA realty.
