UT Tyler Homecoming Activities
UT Tyler Homecoming is set for the weekend of Oct. 28 – 29. A benefit concert, chili cook-off, jazz concert and soccer and volleyball games are included in the festivities.
 A concert featuring Mark Chesnutt will be held Friday, Oct. 28 in the UT Tyler Cowan Center. All proceeds will benefit the Katrina Relief through the American Red Cross and the Regional East Texas Food Bank. Sponsors include BSCENE magazine and ERA realty. Media sponsors include KLTV Channel 7 and KYKX radio.
Tickets will go on sale for students, faculty, staff, alumni and Cowan Center Circle members on Monday, Sept. 26. Ticket prices are $39, $33 and $27. For tickets, call the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office 903.566.7424.
Friday, the men’s and women’s soccer team will play ETBU at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the UT Tyler performance soccer field.
Saturday’s activities include the annual chili cook-off, hosted by the UT Tyler Alumni Association, which will be held 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. The UT Tyler Jazz Band will perform at 2 p.m. under the Riter Carillon Tower, and the women’s volleyball team will play Mississippi College at 3:30 p.m. and Wayland Baptist at 7:30 p.m. in the Herrington Patriot Center.
