Financial Education Seminar Offered at UT Tyler
The UT Tyler community is invited to attend a financial goal seminar noon – 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 in the UT Tyler library, room 401.
Financial topics include the basics of financial organization and budgeting, determining your cash flow and net worth and establishing and prioritizing your financial goals.
“This is also an excellent opportunity to explore financial and retirement planning as well as the tax and retirement benefits of a Tax Sheltered Annuity,” said Joe Vorsas, director of human resources. “A tax sheltered annuity serves as a supplement to your retirement income from Social Security or the Teacher Retirement System. You also avoid paying taxes on the TSA money and any appreciation until retirement.”
Participants are welcome to bring a lunch, and dessert will be provided.
The seminar is being offered by the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association-College Retirement Equities Fund.
