Enter the Peltier Business Plan Competition
The UT Tyler College of Business and Technology invites students to participate in the 2006 Peltier Business Plan Competition for a chance to win a grand prize of $25,000.
Student teams will envision an innovative business idea, develop it into a written business plan and present it to a panel of judges representing the business community.
Registration forms are available at www.uttyler.edu/peltier. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 10.
The competition seeks to encourage entrepreneurial innovations in college and university students. Those involved in the competition will gain access to networks of successful entrepreneurs, lenders and investors; have the opportunity to learn greater team-building and business planning skills and gain media exposure for their entrepreneurial goals.
First place receives a grand prize of $25,000, second place is $7,500 and third place is $5,000. These prizes are designed to foster a drive for excellence in the competition.
Finals of the competition will be held in April 2006 at UT Tyler.
Entrepreneurs, who are not students, are also encouraged to apply and participate in a non-competitive opportunity. They may present their business plans to the panel of judges for their suggestions and the opportunity to receive invaluable assistance and networking opportunities with these experienced business people.
