Health Fair To Be Held March 29

A health fair will be held 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 in the University Center open area. The event is free and open to UT Tyler faculty, staff and students.

Health screenings including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, height/weight, HIV and alcohol assessments will be offered by UT Tyler departments and local businesses. Smoothies and healthy snacks will also be available along with health information and 10-minute chair massages.

The Mother Frances Mobile Mammography van will be stationed in the UC parking lot 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will perform routine mammograms by appointment only. To make an appointment, call the Office of Student Services, 903.566.7079.

The mammogram fee is $150 and can be filed on your insurance or paid for by check, money order or credit card. Participants must be a minimum of 35 years of age.

The health fair is sponsored by the Office of Student Services, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Heritage Home Health.
