UT Tyler VP Named President at LeTourneau
 Dr. Dale Lunsford, UT Tyler vice president for student affairs and external relations, has been named the sixth president of LeTourneau University, effective July 1.
“We are very proud of Dr. Lunsford and of course very happy for him. Dale is extremely deserving of this achievement and LeTourneau is fortunate to have him. He leaves an indelible mark on the UT Tyler campus. We will miss his leadership but we are grateful for his many accomplishments here. We wish him well as LeTourneau's President,” said UT Tyler President Rodney Mabry.
Lunsford has served as a UT Tyler administrator for seven years.
“UT Tyler will forever be a special place for me. I have been blessed to work alongside talented professionals and exceptional students on an important task. East Texans now have the comprehensive public university they deserve, and I’m honored to have played a role in that accomplishment,” Lunsford said.
