UT Tyler will celebrate the life of the late Dr. Darrell Pogue who died of cancer Nov. 26. Pogue was an associate professor of biology.
The celebration will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 in the UT Tyler Muntz Library, room 401.
“He was well known, respected and admired across the campus and beyond for his kindness, creativity, intelligence and ready wit. He was recognized among his peers for his talents, knowledge, integrity and commitment to science and teaching,” said Dr. Lee Ann Harbison, senior lecturer of biology.
Students, faculty and staff are welcome to share their memories.
Pogue was known for his baked goods, so attendees are invited to bring a baked good in his honor, according to Harbison.
