UT Tyler Career Services Etiquette Dinner Set for Jan. 31

The University of Texas at Tyler Office of Career Services sixth annual etiquette dinner is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 31, Krista Richardson, coordinator of career services,
announced.
The dinner will be held at the Hollytree Country Club in Tyler. Cost is $25 per person. Pre-registration at the career services office is required.

“Faculty and staff are welcome to encourage sophomore- through senior-level students to register and attend the event,” said Richardson.
Doris Sharp, UT Tyler director of tech prep and certified business protocol and etiquette
trainer, will provide the presentation at the dinner. Topics discussed will include
successful dinning skills and table manners for adults. Attendees also will learn how to
conduct interviews and business over lunch and dinner and the art of handling hard-to-eat
food.
Deadline to pre-register is Thursday, Jan. 24.
Business dress is required for the event, which begins at 6 p.m. University departments and colleges may sponsor selected students or faculty/staff members, Richardson added.
