Great Decisions Discussions Featuring UT Tyler Faculty Continue

The Great Decisions Discussions featuring The University of Texas at Tyler faculty continues with a presentation by Dr. Marcus Stadelmann, associate professor and chair of political science.
Stadelmann will present “European Union at 50” at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the Tyler Public Library’s auditorium.
The event is the second in a series of eight foreign policy discussions, which began Jan. 16 and will continue each consecutive Wednesday through Wednesday, March 5.
Dr. Dan Murphree, UT Tyler assistant professor of history, led the first 2008 Great Decisions discussion held at the Tyler Public Library titled “Latin America: A Shift to the Left?”
Dr. Robert Sterken, UT Tyler associate professor of political science, will present “Iraq End Game” on March 5.
Each meeting addresses an important and current foreign policy and feature experts on the topic to lead discussions, which are part of a national effort started more than 50 years ago by the Foreign Policy Association.
Local sponsors for the 2008 series are the American Association of University Women – Tyler Branch, the League of Women Voters of Tyler/Smith County and the Tyler Public Library.
