UT Tyler Research Awards Luncheon

The inaugural UT Tyler Office of Sponsored Research Awards Luncheon was held recently at the Hollytree Country Club in Tyler.

On Feb. 29, President Rodney Mabry (far left) congratulated Edith Harris, administrative assistant to the College of Engineering and Computer dean; Dr. James Nelson, College of Engineering and Computer Science dean; and Dr. Michael Odell, professor of science education and School of Education interim director, for their research work/support during the last fiscal year.

Harris provided the most support in managing external funding, Nelson demonstrated the most activity and creativity in locating funding opportunities and Odell obtained the greatest number of external awards and brought in the most dollars in external funding.
