Outstanding UT Tyler Faculty Recognized at Ceremony
March 31, 2008
The UT Tyler Faculty Senate recognized research and teaching award recipients at a ceremony March 28.
The honorees, from 1976 to present, were given medallions bearing the university’s official seal and the name of their award and year given inscribed on the back.
The ceremony also recognized retirees and professors awarded promotion and/or tenure for 2007 – 08.
The current awards at UT Tyler are the Piper Professor Nominee, Chancellor’s Council Teaching Award, White Fellowship Teaching Award and President’s Scholarly Achievement Award.
The ceremony was sponsored by UT Tyler President Rodney Mabry, Dr. Charles Haas, East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System (in honor of the UT Tyler College of Nursing) and Southside Bank.
