UT Tyler Poetry Contest Deadline Approaching

The University of Texas at Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library Poetry Contest deadline is Friday, April 18, Jeanne Pyle, Muntz Library director, announced.

Currently-enrolled university students may submit up to two poems. All entries must be original unpublished works, written in English and no more than 60 lines.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 29 in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center’s Braithwaite Recital Hall. The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will feature Larry Thomas, current Texas Poet Laureate.
