UT Tyler 2012 Patriot Days – “Peace, Love & Patriots: Celebrating 40 Years!”

UT Tyler students are invited to participate in the 2012 Patriot Days April 9 – 13, Ona Tolliver, assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students, announced.

Patriot Days is the annual student appreciation week at UT Tyler that provides students the opportunity to enhance unity and school spirit with recreational games, contests, food, music and prizes.

This year, the event will incorporate the university’s anniversary theme and begins with a crawfish boil lunch at noon on the Harvey Lake deck.

To conclude Patriot Days, the UT Tyler Campus Activities Board will hold a “Saturday Night Fever” Disco 7 – 11 p.m. in the University Center ballroom.

Other activities throughout the week include:

• Movie and Comedy Nights

• Tunes at Noon featuring Son of a Bad Man

• Capture the Flag

• UC Celebration featuring face painting, balloon animals, health and wellness fair, photo booth and UT Tyler dining services mini food show.

• Disco Roller Rink

• Disc Golf Tournament
