Video Contest for UT Tyler Graduate Students
January 14, 2013
The Graduate School at UT Tyler will kick off the spring 2013 semester with a video contest for current UT Tyler graduate students.
The contest, set for Monday, Jan. 14 through Monday, April 15, offers students the chance to win an iPad. In 90 seconds or less, the video entries should provide a UT Tyler graduate student’s perspective – about their graduate program, professors, research, coursework, labs – or any positive message they would like to share.
For full contest rules, visit the video contest Web page.
“The Graduate School is very excited about the video contest, and we anticipate a high level of participation from our students,” said Dr. Alecia Wolf, assistant dean of The Graduate School. “Students, friends, family, faculty and staff are all encouraged to get involved in the process by voting for their favorite videos.”
Winners will be announced Wednesday, May 1 and selected based on creativity, originality, quality, YouTube views and message. The top winning video will be featured on The Graduate School’s YouTube page. Runner-up videos will be showcased on the corresponding graduate program’s admission website.
Student contestants may use cell phones, video cameras and other common devices to produce their video without having to seek out highly sophisticated equipment, she added. For more information, call 903.566.7475.
