UT Tyler to Hold Second “Chamber Music Series” Concert

UT Tyler will hold a guest artist recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21 in the Braithwaite Recital Hall, Dr. Michael Thrasher, School of Performing Arts director, announced.

The public concert will feature freelance musicians Chris Cox on flute; Brett Andrews on cello; and Galen Dean Peiskee on piano.

The program includes Philippe Gaubert’s Three Water Colors, Lucas Drew’s Zodiac Suite, Heitor Villa-lobos’s Assobio a Jato (The Jet Whistle) and George Crumb’s Vox Balaenae (Voice of the Whale).

This performance is part of the UT Tyler 2013 Summer Chamber Music Series, Thrasher added.
