UT Tyler students and alumni are encouraged to participate in the 2015 Smart Start Skills Negotiation Workshop for salary negotiations, Marilyn Albert, career services director, announced.

The event will be 4 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 in the UT Tyler Business Building, room 104.

“This will be an opportunity for students to learn the key elements in salary negotiation such as the consequences of the gender wage gap,” said Sylvia Leibowitz, UT Tyler career services event coordinator. “After attending this workshop participants will understand reasonable salaries, benefits and how to develop a budget to pay basic expenses.”

Food will be provided.

The UT Tyler Office of Career Services offers guidance, resources and support to help students and alumni navigate the career development process.
