Adding/Updating your Contribute Site Key
Updating a page using your Contribute connection

These instructions are still in working mode, and are still being edited. If you find an area that needs work, please email Robin Kelly with specifics.

1. If you are having problems with your connection (can't connect because of errors, won't take password, etc.), it may be necessary to remove your connection and start over with a new connection key. Below are instructions on how to remove your old connection. Follow these steps:

a. E-mail Robin Kelly for a new connection key, or have on hand the very last email sent with your latest connection key.
b. Follow the steps below to remove the connection key.
c. Continue through to step 3 to get connected, and publish a page. It is important once you are connected to make sure you are also able to publish a page.

To remove the original site, select "Edit", "My Connections", then select the Publishing Server site ONE Time to highlight it. Click the "Remove" button. You will see a button to confirm the deletion. Click the "Yes" button. If you don't have a Publishing Server site, but do have another site, highlight it, and remove it following the same instructions.

Select "Yes" to delete the connection. The "My Connections" box should then have nothing in the box.

After you have deleted the connection, select close. Then re-open by selecting "Edit", "My Connections". Make sure the box is empty.
See below:

Next, you will need to close down Contribute. Select "File", Exit".
See Below.

From here, go back to your email that was sent by Robin Kelly with your connection key, and follow the instructions that were sent with the latest key and double-click on the new connection key:

NOTE: If this next step does not work, you may need to repeat the above step to remove your connection key, then wait until the next day to re-set up the connection key.

Next, you are ready to reinstall the connection key issued to you by Robin Kelly. To receive a new connection key, send an email to rkelly@uttyler.edu.
