UT Tyler To Induct 25 In Business Honor Society

The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business Administration will induct 25 undergraduate and graduate students into Beta Gamma Sigma national business honor society, Dr. Jim Tarter, dean of the College of Business, has announced.

The initiation ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, in Room 401 of the Robert R. Muntz Library.

UT Tyler faculty honorees will be Deborah Baker Hulse, lecturer in management and marketing, and Geri B. Wink, lecturer in accounting.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest national recognition a student can receive in an undergraduate or master's program in business or management accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, according to Dr. Marilyn Young, president of the UT Tyler Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class or upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class.

Undergraduate inductees are juniors Daniel Gregory Brooks, Kathryn D. Haar, Henry Hardee, Lindsey Ann Marshall, Jaclyn Ann McDaniel, Shaun E. Twomey and Alecia M. Watkins.

Also, seniors Brandy Marie Barrett, Gary Bishop, Nicholas Ray Darragh, Adrienne A. Deason, Jamie Elizabeth Gothard, Andrew Green, Phyllis Harris, Curt Liles, Deborah Sue Raney, Melissa Stringer, Gregory Blake Thompson, Vicki N. Vieux, Barbara Jeanne Ward and Rebecca Gene Williams.

Graduate inductees are Cheryl Crowe, Colleen Marie Dee, Lois A. McMahan-Phillips and Carroll Rogé.
