"We are really looking forward to this event being one of the best ever. As always, we appreciate the support of our sponsors and our volunteers. Our volunteer chairmen have been truly outstanding," Mabry said. Awards will be given to winners of the each round. The sounds of bagpipes will signal the completion of the morning round and the start of the afternoon round. Trophies will be presented immediately following each round. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the UT Tyler scholarship program. The university will name a scholarship in honor of the two winning teams. An additional opportunity to claim a prize will go to the first golfer to make a hole-in-one on a par three hole. Five Tyler area automobile dealers each will display a vehicle on each of the five par three holes at Hollytree Country Club. The first golfer making a hole-in-one will win the car displayed. Participating dealers are Classic Toyota-Oldsmobile-Mercedes
Benz, Mike Pile Autoplex, Fairway Ford, King Chevrolet
and Wagner Cadillac. "Tom, Chris and I want to thank all of the team sponsors who have committed to making this tournament a success. We've worked hard to make this a unique event in order to show our sponsors just how grateful we are for their participation," Rossman said. The UT Tyler Jazz Band will provide music during lunch, and a customized Le Club golf cart will be on display at the country club. |
