Local Youth to Appear in Ragtime at UT Tyler

Ian Knipe has been selected to participate in the national touring production of the Broadway favorite Ragtime, Susan Thomae-Morphew, director of The University of Texas at Tyler Cowan Center, has announced.

Four-year-old Knipe will play Little Coalhouse and was recommended by the Rogers Children's Theatre where he takes acting classes.

The production company for the hit musical offers the opportunity for a local individual to assume this walk-on role at each venue.

Knipe is the son of Jo Knipe and Jason Hill.
