![]() Tickets available for Sandy Duncan Performance at UT TylerSeptember 5, 2001 Individual performance tickets are available for the first event, which features Tyler native Sandy Duncan, with Don Correia and Guy Stroman, of the 2001-02 Performing Arts Series at The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center, Susan Thomae-Morphew, Cowan Center director, announced. Tickets are $45, $35 and $25 at the Cowan Center box office. The trio will present a full evening of nonstop singing and dancing entertainment from Broadway's best. Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Z. Ornelas, the
performance will include "The Music and the Mirror''
from A Chorus Line and "Together'' from Gypsy.
Fresh out of Lon Morris College, Duncan headed to New York to pursue a career as an actress. After receiving critical acclaim for her performance in the 1969 production of The Boy Friend, she starred in Disney's The Million Dollar Duck and appearanced in television commercials, which led to a starring role in the television series Funny Face. Her performance in the critically acclaimed mini-series Roots earned her a second Emmy Award nomination. In 1980, she returned to Broadway in the title role of Peter Pan, earning her third Tony nomination as Best Actress and went on to star with her husband, Don Correia, in Radio City Music Hall's presentation of Five, Six, Seven, Eight....Dance! Following her love of a live audience, Duncan has,
with Correia and Stroman, been appearing with symphony
