UT Tyler Community Band to Present Holiday ConcertThe Tyler Community Band will present an evening of Christmas music at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 in the University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m.
The band will be performing selections by Mel Tormé, Meredith Willson, Alfred Burt and Leroy Anderson, as well as traditional carols and favorites.
“The audience is invited to join the band in wearing holiday colors to make it a festive occasion for the whole family,” Dr. Emge said.
Beginning its 15th year, this UT Tyler based organization is composed of gifted high school and college students, as well as professional teachers, players, and community members.
