‘Tuna Christmas’ Tickets on Sale Now at UT Tyler Cowan Center
November 1, 2004
Individual tickets for “A Tuna Christmas” are on sale now at The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center, Susan Thomae-Morphew, UT Tyler Cowan Center director, announced.
Now in its 15 th season, “ A Tuna Christmas,” is the sequel to the hit comedy “ Greater Tuna.”
The holiday comedy will perform at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
Tickets are $41, $31 and $21. Box office hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The original Broadway cast of Joe Sears and Jaston Williams will present the favorite citizens of Tuna, Texas the third smallest town in the state, where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies, according to Thomae-Morphew.
Master comedians Sears and Williams bring all 24 citizens of Tuna back to life.
The setting is 24 hours before Christmas and the delightfully eccentric characters attempt to cope with seasonal traumas, including a disaster prone little theatre production of “ A Christmas Carol” and a yard decorating contest that is being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas phantom.
