Fourteen residents of Whitehouse were among 607 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in spring commencement ceremonies May 6.
Whitehouse residents and their degrees are:
Gaylon Moore, M.B.A.; Daniel Fuller, M.Ed., health and kinesiology; Kathy Lynn Parker, M.Ed., educational administration; Ashley Holley Burkett, B.B.A., management; Cortney B. Cooper, B.B.A.; finance; Amanda K. Davenport, B.B.A., marketing; Austin Garrett O’Kelly, B.S., computer information systems; Brandy Berryhill, B.S., health professions; Shelley Kay Welch and Gregory B. Williams Sr, B.S.N.; Stephanie Sigler, B.A., theatre; Amanda Ward, B.S., speech communication; and Carrie Elizabeth Mauldin and Denise LaVonne Acker Schmidt, B.S.I.S.
Commencement remarks were given by Dr. Michael Bell, UT Tyler alumni and president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. President Rodney H. Mabry certified degree candidates. Presentation of degree candidates was by Dr. Richard Osburn, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and by the representatives of each of the university’s colleges.
