Nine residents of Brownsboro were among 607 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in spring commencement ceremonies May 6.
Brownsboro Area residents and their degrees are:
BROWNSBORO - Joan Echols McLemore, B.A.A.S.; and Michael Floyd Washington, B.B.A., finance.
CHANDLER – Melissa Ables Lehman, M.S.N.; Lori L. Davis, B.B.A., accounting; Christopher Scott Wangler, B.A., health and kinesiology; Melissa Lehman, B.S.N.; James David Tarbutton, B.M; and Eric J. Peyton, B.A., psychology.
FRANKSTON - Lee Ann Richardson Sexton, B.A., psychology.
Commencement remarks were given by Dr. Michael Bell, UT Tyler alumni and president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. President Rodney H. Mabry certified degree candidates. Presentation of degree candidates was by Dr. Richard Osburn, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and by the representatives of each of the university’s colleges.
