For more than half a century, King has defined the blues for a worldwide audience. Since he started recording in the 1940s, he has released over 50 albums.
Over the years, he developed one of the world’s readily identifiable guitar styles, and has mixed traditional blues, jazz, swing, mainstream pop and jump into a unique sound.
“Our tenth anniversary season brochure showed a mystery guest to be announced later. Finally, the confirmation came and the excitement was instantaneous,” said Thomae-Morphew. “We have wanted to bring B.B. King for years and are so fortunate to get him during this special season. Cowan Center Circle members may buy tickets now and the public may buy tickets Nov. 27.”
