A clinical research seminar held by the North Texas Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals will be 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at The University of Texas at Tyler, Dr. Ali Azghani, UT Tyler associate professor of biology and president elect of the chapter, announced.
“Patient Recruitment Strategies for the Sponsor and Site” is open to all clinical research professionals and allied health students, and will be held in the UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library, room 115.
The seminar is free to ACRP chapter members and UT Tyler students, and $25 for non-members. The fee includes membership to the North Texas ACRP chapter, a light dinner, networking, presentation and two contact hours.

Speakers are Craig Wozniak, vice president of clinical operations at GlaxoSmithKline, and Angela Silverman, projects director at MedStar Research Institute.
Both speakers will suggest effective strategies for recruiting patients into clinical trials. They will also highlight methods for accessing successes and failures of a recruitment program and discuss pitfalls of patient recruitment programs.
