Larry E. Wickham has joined The University of Texas at Tyler’s university advancement staff as director of planned giving, Jerre Iversen, UT Tyler vice president of university advancement, announced.
Wickham replaces P.J. Gary, who announced her retirement, effective Aug. 31. She served at UT Tyler for more than 10 years.
A certified fundraising executive, Wickham’s primary duty will involve developing a planned giving program which offers opportunities for current and potential donors to give gifts through their estates. He also will develop and maintain relationships with current donors and new donor prospects.
“Larry is a very engaging, articulate professional who understands the development world, East Texas and what the university is about,” said Iversen.
Wickham previously served as East Texas Baptist University’s director of development for five years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Wickham also is president-elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Dallas Chapter.
