Sheryl Dennis Named UT Tyler Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs

Sheryl Dennis has been appointed the assistant vice president for business affairs at The University of Texas at Tyler, Gregg Lassen, UT Tyler vice president for business affairs, announced.

“It is my privilege and pleasure to welcome Sheryl Dennis to UT Tyler as our new assistant vice president for business affairs. Sheryl has a wealth of work experience to bring from Texas A&M, first at the flagship in College Station and most recently at the campus in Texarkana,” Lassen said.

Dennis came to UT Tyler from the Texas A&M University – Texarkana where she served as controller and director of accounting for more than nine years. Prior to that, she served for eight years in various accounting positions at the Texas A&M – College Station physical plant.

She also was an adjunct professor at Texarkana College and A&M Texarkana teaching financial, managerial and governmental accounting.

Dennis holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master of science degree from A&M.
