HOMETOWN RELEASE: Marshall Residents Recognized at UT Tyler Commencement

Six Marshall residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.

Marshall residents and their degrees are:

Jeniffer Mukweyi, M.Ed., special education; Monica Rena Turner, M.A., reading; William Charles Sperier Jr., B.A., political science; LaKeisha Renee Grant, B.B.A., marketing; Cynthia L. Langer, B.S.I.S.; and Joshua S. Epperson, B.S., computer science.

President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates. Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges.

More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.
