HOMETOWN RELEASE: Carthage Residents Recognized at UT Tyler Commencement

Seven Carthage residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.

Carthage residents and their degrees are:

Janet U. Boone, M.A., school counseling; Brent Allen Duvall, B.S., history; Kenneth Paul King, B.S., industrial safety; Randall Shull, B.S., industrial technology; William Travis Ritter and Chartaesia LaNae Thomas, B.A., health and kinesiology; and Jenna Walker, B.S., nursing.

President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates. Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges.

More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.
