REVISED MEDIA ADVISORY: Don King Press Conference

The University of Texas at Tyler will hold a press conference featuring philanthropist and businessman Don King at 1 p.m. (instead of the previously announced time of 4:30 p.m.) Tuesday, March 18 in the UT Tyler Cowan Center, second floor (use Cowan Center main entrance).

King will be a featured guest at the Only in America: A Patriotic Celebration of the American Dream presentation at 7:30 p.m. that night in the R. Don Cowan Center’s Vaughn Auditorium.

The evening includes a special appearance by Roger Williams, former Texas Secretary of State.

The Tom Houston Orchestra will present “A Tribute to the Armed Forces” military musical salute at 6:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are $20 and will go on sale Feb. 18. They are available at the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office or online at www.CowanCenter.org. Box office hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. To reach the box office, call 903.566.7424.

This is a special event which is not part of the regular UT Tyler Cowan Center series.
