MEDIA ADVISORY: 2008 UT Tyler Patriot Days

“Welcome to the Jungle’’ is this year’s theme for Patriot Days to be held April 14-18 at The University of Texas at Tyler, David Hill, UT Tyler interim director of student development, announced.  

As part of an annual student appreciation week at the university, Patriot Days provides students with recreational games, contests, food, music and prizes.

Activities this year include:

• Karaoke night
• Hotdog eating contest
• Faculty/staff v. student softball game

Patriot Days is sponsored by the Campus Activities office in coordination with a Patriot Days Planning Committee consisting of representatives from various student organizations.
