Ten students at The University of Texas at Tyler have been named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for the 2011-12 academic year.

Honorees are chosen based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

Students, listed by hometown, are:

ARLINGTON – Amanda Weaver.

GARY – Emily Dickenson.

LINDALE – Jimmy Peterson.

SEAGOVILLE – Candace Turner.

TATUM – Monica Davis.

TYLER – Rachel Cook, Elsa Cruz Carmona, Hien Nguyen and Ciera Ward.

WHITEHOUSE – Brian Zemer.
