To further meet the needs of students and the community, The University of Texas at Tyler Testing Center will extend its hours, Kim Harvey-Livingston, director of student services, announced.

Effective Tuesday, Sept. 4, regular hours will be 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday.

“With these new operating hours, we can now offer greater flexibility for meeting the testing needs both of UT Tyler students and other students in the community, as well as expand our current offerings such as the Accuplacer, CLEP and correspondence proctoring,” said Ramsey Williams, UT Tyler coordinator of testing services.

The UT Tyler Testing Center's mission is to provide accurate and secure testing opportunities that meet the individual needs of students in an environment conducive to academic success. The center offers proctoring services for standardized testing, university-level correspondence testing, placement exams, institutional effectiveness assessments and accommodated testing.

Proctoring services for all tests offered are given only to those registered for that particular test date. Registration and other testing information is available at the center or online at www.uttyler.edu.

“Examinations are administered to insure not only the security of the examination but also with each student’s particular needs in mind,” Williams added.

Testing services is located in the UT Tyler University Center, room 3160.
