UT Tyler to Hold Fourth Annual Economic Forecast Summit

The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business and Technology and Hibbs Institute for Business and Economic Research will hold the fourth annual Economic Forecast Summit 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Rose Heights Church (2120 Old Omen Road in Tyler).

Cost is $75 per person. Reservations will be accepted through Oct. 7 and can be made by email at HibbsInstitute@uttyler.edu or by phone at 903.565.5741 during 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Ronald A. Johnson, dean of the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University.

“With a Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from Stanford University, Dr. Johnson will provide valuable insight into the concerns of regional citizens and business owners,” said Dr. Jerry Gilley, College of Business and Technology interim dean.

The UT Tyler Hibbs Institute for Business and Economic Research facilitates business growth and economic development throughout East Texas by serving as a key source of information for regional businesses, governments and economic development agencies. The annual summit serves as a forum for economic leaders to discuss the outlook of the East Texas Region.
