UT Tyler Scholarships Available for China Study Abroad Opportunity

The University of Texas at Tyler Office of International Programs recently learned the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Washington, D.C. has approved Chinese Government Scholarship awards that UT Tyler undergraduate students can apply to receive, Dr. Teresa Kennedy, Office of International Programs executive director, announced.

Ten scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each are available to undergraduate students who wish to study at a Chinese university for the 2014-15 academic year.

The scholarship includes tuition, room and board, health insurance and travel/conference fees. Students will be responsible for international round-trip airfare.

The academic program in China begins in late August/early September 2014 and is expected to be completed in July 2015. Application deadline is Monday, March 24.
