Gracing the stage in an encore performance, The Irish Tenors are back to present another uplifting and emotional evening, Susan Thomae-Morphew, Cowan Center executive director, announced.

A Frances Cowan Gibson Musical Event, this performance, sponsored by Louis and Peaches Owen, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24 in the UT Tyler Cowan Center Vaughn Auditorium.

Tickets are $67, $62, $57 and $52 and can be purchased at the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office by calling 903.566.7424 or online at cowancenter.org. Box office hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to each event.

"We are thrilled to have The Irish Tenors back for a return engagement. They delighted us in 2008 with an outstanding performance, and this year will be nothing less than spectacular," said Thomae-Morphew.

The Irish Tenors features the incredible talent of Finbar Wright, Anthony Kearns and Ronan Tynan, who are considered the leading brand in this genre.

Touring together since 1998, these classically trained singers have performed sold-out shows at such historic venues as Radio City Music Hall, Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall and The Hollywood Bowl.

They are known for their stirring renditions of classics like "Danny Boy," "Fairytale of New York" and "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie Titanic.

The Irish Tenors also will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising with such songs as "The Foggy Dew," "Grace," "James Connolly" and "Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears."

The Rising was a rebellion in 1916 Ireland against the British rule. It was mounted on Easter week and led to the establishment of an independent Irish state.
