UT Tyler Announces Advanced Placement Summer Institute July 11 – 14

The University of Texas at Tyler will hold the 2016 Advanced Placement Summer Institute for middle and secondary school teachers July 11 – 14, Dr. Michael Odell, UT Tyler vice president for research and technology transfer, and AP Institute director, announced.

Hosted by the Ingenuity Center, the 30-hour institute offers Pre-AP™ and AP™ certification training in various courses. Cost is $525 per participant. Registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 3. Additional information may be found at ingenuitycenter.org/initiatives/tyler-apsi/.

Institute offerings include Pre-AP™ courses in Science, English, Math and Social Sciences and History; and AP™ courses in Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Computer Science A, English Literature and Composition, English Language and Composition, U.S. Government and Politics, Physics 1, Psychology, Spanish Language, Statistics and U.S. History.

Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to earn a certificate of completion.
