Comedian Jeff Foxworthy will bring his unique brand of comedy to The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center for an encore performance, Susan Thomae-Morphew, Cowan Center executive director, announced.

Sponsored by Louis and Peaches Owen and Southside Bank, Foxworthy will take the stage at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the UT Tyler Cowan Center.

Tickets are $97, $92, $87, $77, $72 and $62 for the evening performance and $97, $82, $62 and $52 for the matinee. Tickets can be purchased at the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office by calling 903.566.7424 or online at cowancenter.org. Box office hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.

"We love that Jeff Foxworthy is returning to East Texas. He was here to help us celebrate our 10th anniversary, and now he's back to help celebrate the 20th anniversary. Also, he was so impressed with Tyler the first time he performed that he agreed to not one but two shows, which is not the standard booking for this tour," Thomae-Morphew said.

Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy are currently on the "We've Been Thinking Tour," plus Foxworthy has his own comedy channel, "Jeff and Larry's Comedy Roundup," on SIRUISXM satellite radio.

The largest-selling comedy-recording artist, Foxworthy is a multiple Grammy Award nominee and bestselling author of more than 26 books.

Widely known for his redneck jokes, his act goes well beyond that to explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature, a style that is compared to Mark Twain.

Foxworthy is also well-known as the host of FOX television's game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, The American Bible Challenge for the Game Show Network and The American Baking Competition for CBS Television Network.

His "Blue Collar Comedy Tour, The Movie" premiered on Comedy Central as the highest rated movie in the channel's history. To date, the movie has sold more than four million units, and the movie soundtrack has been certified gold for selling more than 500,000 units.
