UT Tyler Announces BFA Student Art Exhibit

The University of Texas at Tyler is proud to announce an upcoming bachelor of fine arts student show. The UT Tyler Meadows Gallery will present the university's annual BFA Student Exhibition beginning Monday, Nov. 28.

The eight undergraduate art students whose work is featured in the show are listed by hometown with artistic style.

BULLARD – Lorianne Hubbard, traditional/mixed media drawings

GLADEWATER – Laminda Miller, paper and ceramic sculpture

JACKSONVILLE – Adam Phifer, digital photography

TYLER – Chelsea Bretherick, woodcuts; Diego E. Loya, prints/mixed media; and Ashley McClelland, mixed media

QUINLAN – Richard D. Lewis, mixed media

QUITMAN – Sean English, mixed media printmaking

A reception and artist talks with English, Lewis, McClelland and Miller will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the gallery. A second reception and artist talks with Bretherick, Hubbard, Loya and Phifer will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, also at the gallery.

The show concludes Friday, Dec. 16. It is in partial fulfillment of the UT Tyler bachelor of fine arts degree.

The UT Tyler Meadows Gallery is located in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment.
