The University of Texas at Tyler to Offer 11th Annual ‘Outdoor Adventure’

The University of Texas at Tyler will once again offer its popular "Great Maine Outdoor Adventure Trip" this summer July 22 – Aug. 2, 2017.

Activities include white water rafting, sea kayaking, canoeing, adventure racing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, lobster eating and much more. All participants should be in good physical condition.

Registration is open. Cost is $1,050 for The University of Texas at Tyler students, $1,500 for The University of Texas at Tyler faculty/staff and $1,900 for everyone else. It includes airfare, ground travel in Maine and Boston, all activities, lodging and most meals. A non-refundable $550 is needed to reserve a spot. Full payment deadline is July 1.

"We will have the added bonus of experiencing urban adventures in Boston on our first and last day of the trip," said Bob Hepler, The University of Texas at Tyler director of recreational activities. "A crew lesson in the Charles River and paddle boarding in Boston Harbor are tentatively planned. Join us for these amazing activities on the coast and mountains of Maine – this year's adventure of a lifetime!"
