The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center has created new pathways to help students earn degrees in nursing, industrial technology and criminal justice, Dr. Van Patterson, Longview University Center director, announced.

"In response to student requests for additional courses we have added Statistics, Nutrition for Allied Health, Anatomy and Physiology, Engineering Graphics and Fundamentals of Management to the Fall 2017 schedule of courses," said Patterson. "Each of these classes fulfills the requirements for one or more of the programs offered at the LUC."

"Last semester we increased the number of students admitted to the BSN program from 40 to 50 students. As a result we have experienced a corresponding increase in student requests for specific pre-nursing courses, especially Anatomy and Physiology," Patterson continued. "The industrial technology program is also experiencing strong growth and increased requests from students to offer additional courses to help them earn their degree in the most efficient and affordable way possible."

Located at 3201 North Eastman Road, The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center offers degree-completion opportunities in nursing, criminal justice and industrial technology to citizens of Longview and surrounding areas.
