Welcome new and returning students to the 2017 fall semester at The University of Texas at Tyler!

The university will hold 2017 Patriot Palooza Aug. 25 – Sept. 1. Patriot Palooza is the university's annual welcome week. It provides all students with free food, UT Tyler swag, concerts, movies and other social activities.

This year's Patriot Palooza events include:

Friday, August 25

• 3 – 5 p.m. Herrington Patriot Center Gym: New Student Convocation

Saturday, August 26

• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. University Center Ballroom: Brunch and Budgeting
• 12:30 p.m. Harvey Lake: 2021 Class Picture

Sunday, August 27

• 9 – 11 p.m. Harvey Deck: Glow-in-the Dark Capture the Flag

Monday, August 28

• 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Harvey Deck (Rain site – UC Lobby): Welcome Breakfast
• 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Harvey Deck (Rain site – UC Lobby): Meet the Patriots Kick-Off BBQ

Tuesday, August 29

• 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Harvey Deck (Rain site – UC Lobby): Welcome Breakfast
• 8 – 11 p.m. Herrington Patriot Center Pool (Rain site – UC Theater): Dive-in Movie

Wednesday, August 30

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. UC Patio: Meet the Greeks
• 7 – 9 p.m. Patriot Zone Sports Café: '80s Trivia Night

Thursday, August 31

• 6 – 7:30 p.m. Patriot Zone Sports Café: Smash Bros. Tournament
• 7:30 – 9 p.m. UC Theater: Open Mic Night

Friday, September 1

• 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. HPC Gym: Music Fest Concert featuring Travis Porter
