Dr. Robert L. Stevens, professor of education and curriculum and instruction department chair, co-authored an article in Social Education titled "Using Music to Teach about the Great Depression."

Stevens teamed with Jared A. Fogel. Fogel is the son of Seymour Fogel, a Depression Era muralist who was one of the founders of the Texas Modernist Movement.
