Senior English major Darci Meadville placed first in International Public Debate Association competition at the Pi Kappa Delta Bi-Province tournament held at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.

The tournament was attended by colleges and universities from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Meadville defeated a student from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the final round of IPDA debate.
