Dr. Dennis Combs, assistant professor of psychology, is a co-investigator on a recently funded exploratory research grant with Dr. David Penn from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

The project titled "Social Cognition and Interaction Training for Schizophrenia," will run through Aug. 31, 2010 and is funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health for $425,000. The funds will be used to conduct the first randomized clinical trial for a new treatment for schizophrenia treatment.
